Beril Sirmacek is a Dutch AI researcher. She received her PhD degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2009. She has later worked with German Aerospace Center and pursued a habilitation degree with University of Osnabrueck. She worked as a guest lecturer at University of Augsburg and several other German universities until 2011. Between 2011 to 2020, she worked at Delft University of Technology and University of Twente respectively. Then, she was an assistant professor at the Computer Science and Informatics Department of the Jonkoping University in Sweden. She is currently an associate professor at Saxion University of Applied Sciences.
