Marcel Langer
Marcel Langer is a postdoctoral researcher in the Laboratory of Computational Science and Modeling (COSMO) at EPFL in Switzerland, where he develops machine learning models for materials science, focusing on long-range interactions and the role of physical constraints and symmetries. He earned his Ph.D. in computer science from Technische Universität Berlin, in collaboration with the Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society, for his work on applying graph neural networks to thermal transport simulations. He has been a visiting researcher at UCLA's Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics, and holds degrees in physics from Imperial College London (M.Sc.) and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (B.Sc.). He is also a recipient of the Walter Benjamin fellowship.
