Neel P. Bhatt is an Assistant Professor in the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science at UT Dallas, where he develops neuro-symbolic architectures at the intersection of generative AI, assured active perception, prediction, and trustworthy sequential decision-making for autonomous systems. Previously, as a Research Scientist at UT Austin's Center for Autonomy, he led two DARPA projects on verification-centric neurosymbolic AI for embodied autonomy, building systems that can reason, perceive, and act reliably in the physical world while offering formal guarantees on safety and trust. Neel holds a PhD in Mechatronics Engineering from Waterloo and a bachelor's in Mechatronics and Robotics from Toronto.
