We are delighted to announce the launch of our focus series on AI for Good: UN sustainable development goals (SDGs). Each month we will pick a different sustainable development goal (SDG) and highlight work in that area. For this first issue we will be publishing a series of articles on SDG number three: “good health and well-being”.
There are numerous examples of AI usage in healthcare. We have an exciting selection of articles coming up covering the latest research, news, opinions, and expert insight connected to the use of AI in healthcare.
Our planned content includes an interview with Guillem Alenyà about his work on assistive robotics. We will also be bringing you articles from the CLAIRE Covid-19 taskforce. Other posts will cover topics such as drug discovery, the potential for machine learning techniques to assist people with cystic fibrosis, and using computer vision for health monitoring apps.
You will be able to find all the articles related to this issue as we publish them at this link.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a collection of 17 interlinked goals designed to be a “blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all”. The SDGs were set in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and are intended to be achieved by the year 2030.
There is still time to contribute to this focus series. Just send us an email and we’d be happy to help you shape a blog post or set up an interview. Also, watch this space as we are soon to announce the next SDG we plan to cover, with content for that being published from February onwards.
