How can we centre the lived experiences and creativity of people with disabilities in the design of our technology?

On this week’s episode we welcome Cynthia Bennett to the show.

Cynthia Bennett is a postdoctoral researcher at Carnegie Mellon University’s Human-Computer Interaction Institute. Her research focuses on the intersection of power, disability, design, and accessibility. Cynthia centres the lived experiences and creativity of people with disabilities as starting points for developing accessible and justice-oriented applications of technology. Cynthia is also a disabled scholar who is committed to raising the participation of disabled people in academia and the tech industry.
