As part of our ongoing focus on the UN sustainable development goals (SDGs), we are launching the next topic in this series: sustainable cities and communities. Posts on this topic will be featured on our website throughout December and January.

AIhub focus issue on sustainable cities

Sustainable cities and communities

The UN’s aim with this goal is to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable. This covers topics including safe and affordable housing, affordable and sustainable transport systems, sustainable urbanization, reducing the adverse effects of natural disasters, reducing the environmental impacts of cities, and providing access to safe and inclusive green and public spaces.

In this series, our planned content includes research on smart and sustainable cities, earthquake prediction, traffic analysis, and more.

You will be able to find all the articles related to this issue as we publish them at this link.

About the UN Sustainable Development Goals

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a collection of 17 interlinked goals designed to be a “blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all”. The SDGs were set in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and are intended to be achieved by the year 2030.
