Jihie Kim is a Professor of the Department of Computer and Artificial Intelligence at Dongguk University, Korea. She was a Vice President of Samsung Electronics leading the AI lab. She was also a Research Assistant Professor in the CS Dept. at USC and Research Scientist at USC/Information Sciences Institute. Her research areas include natural language processing and knowledge-based approaches for human computer interaction. She was the PI of many AI projects including six NSF projects on using AI and NLP for education and social dialogue. She is interested in discussions for AI ethics, diversity in AI, and the future of AI research.
