Thom Badings is a PhD candidate at the Institute for Computing and Information Science (iCIS) at the Radboud University, Nijmegen, The Netherlands. He holds a B.Sc. (2017) and M.Sc. (2019, cum laude) degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the University of Groningen, with a specialization in smart systems in control and automation. His main research interests are on the intersection between control theory and formal methods. Currently, he works on safe sequential decision-making under uncertainty, with applications to autonomous and robotic systems, predictive maintenance, and power systems.
