Katie Genter received a PhD from the University of Texas at Austin in 2017 and a BS from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2009, both in Computer Science. Her PhD thesis was supervised by Dr. Peter Stone and studied how to use robot birds to influence flocks of real birds via natural flocking algorithms. She has been involved with the UT Austin Villa RoboCup team since 2010 and has helped organize and run the RoboCup Standard Platform League (SPL) since 2013. She is currently represents the SPL as a RoboCup Executive member.
